The Education Evaluation Centre provides advisory and consultancy services in the areas of programme, personnel and institutional evaluation and training, which are available regionally and internationally. The EEC produces reports, contributes to the literature in the educational field as it relates to educational reform, technology, change, and, measurement and evaluation. The Centre also hosts workshops and seminars for the dissemination and exchange of knowledge, research and scholarships.
The Education Evaluation Centre is dedicated to pertinent educational research aimed at improving teaching strategies, curriculum, student achievement, technology integration and the general culture of teaching and learning environments in schools.
The Goals of the Centre are:- To develop and facilitate educational events such as conferences, seminars and workshops aimed at mitigating topical and widely experienced challenges within the educational sector;
- To establish meaningful partnerships with regional education bodies to raise the standard of education within the Caribbean;
- To provide services to the educational sector throughout the Caribbean via: research, technical assistance, training, production of curriculum materials and research instrument construction;
- To act as a conduit between the private and the education sectors throughout the Caribbean;
- To establish links with international organisations for the purpose of providing research and consultancy services;
- To coordinate and supervise international funding for regional education projects via research and consultancy;
- To serve the faculty, staff and students of the University of the West Indies through research partnerships and mentorship.
