Research Interests:

The research in my group focuses primarily on the isolation, structure elucidation and synthesis of natural products from plants, marine invertebrates and microorganisms. Some aspects of these studies are concerned with chemotaxonomic problems, while other research activities relate to the biomedical and agricultural potential of these secondary metabolites. Present investigations focus on the isolation of natural products as anti-cancer and anti-viral agents.
