The Faculty runs two professional training programmes – the Certificate in Information Technology and the Diploma in Information Technology. These are run in the evenings within the Department of Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics and are designed for persons in the work force who wish to upgrade their skills in this area.
The Department of Biological & Chemical Sciences in association with the Barbados National Trust runs a series of short practical horticulture courses. These typically utilise the Andromeda Botanic Gardens and are organised through the post in Tropical Horticulture, funded by the Peter Moores Foundation.
The Faculty is always interested in running short training programmes in areas of expertise such as Information Technology, Micobiology, Horticulture and Electronics. |
