Supreme Court Internship
18/05/2017
Dear Law Students,

The Chief Justice of Barbados, Sir Marston Gibson, has kindly agreed to place up to six (6) student interns in the Courts.  Interns will be expected to work closely with assigned judges on legal research tasks, and may attend court hearings.  Legal internships provide a prime opportunity for students to learn how law is applied in practice and are highly sought after in many jurisdictions.

The internships are scheduled to start from as early as June 6, 2017, but may commence at another date if mutually agreed. Interns will not be paid a salary, they may be granted an honorarium.

The deadline for application for an internship position is June 2, 2017, at 12 noon.  Early applications will be considered.  Applicants must submit an updated cv, including full contact information, and a short (200 word) statement as to why an internship would be beneficial.  Please submit applications electronically in an email titled “Supreme Court Internship” to the Dean, Faculty of Law, UWI, Cave Hill Campus at lawdean@cavehill.uwi.edu

Yours sincerely,

David S. Berry
