The paper provides an overview of youth in the Caribbean and seeks to show that the region's approach to its young people has been to see them as a problem. The case of St. Kitts-Nevis is considered noting that the youth population is conservative and well adjusted and not deserving of this general approach. The paper looks at some of the critical issues confronting young people in St. Kitts-Nevis and provides some policy recommendations.
