This website has been created to provide the public with information regarding the Centre's activities and services.

The Education Evaluation Centre is a department of the University of the West Indies established to monitor and evaluate the different elements of the Education Sector Enhancement Programme (ESEP).

Our Research Team conducts surveys and report our findings to the Ministry of Education in all areas of the programme:

Civil Works - are the school buildings adequate to fit the needs of its children?

Information Technology - is the available technology accessible and beneficial to the children?

Human Resources - are the schools sufficiently staffed with adequately qualified teachers?

Curriculum Reform - is the reform curriculum available and utilised at all schools?

These are only some of the questions we have reported on in the implementation of this programme.  Our aim is to ensure that every school age child is afforded the same quality of education in Barbados.
