  • develops and implements communications plans that use multiple media and platforms and various creative campaigns to meet established targets for student/client generation, and build a compelling brand for the UWI Open Campus; 
  • develops, leads, collaborates and evaluates high profile regional and local M&C projects to ensure buy in and engagement of key stakeholders, including the senior management team; 
  • defines and develops messages and content for both marketing and academic communication products for The UWI Open Campus; 
  • develops and monitors market performance, identify potential shortfalls against targets and recommend activity to address these shortfalls; 
  • oversees, manages and coaches direct and indirect functionaries within the Marketing and Communications structure of the UWI Open Campus; 
  • hires and supervises freelancers as needed (writers, copyeditors, designers, and photographers) for the effective and efficient deployment of communications materials; 
  • oversees writing, editing, and production of all Open Campus publications and advertising materials, reports, brochures, websites, letters, and announcements; 
  • builds internal and external relationships to ensure buy in and engagement, and the successful delivery of marketing activities throughout the region and in specific UWI-served countries; 
  • works with the regional Marketing Communication Action Teams to ensure that common University and Open Campus common objectives and goals are met;
  • creates new communication opportunities and leverage and amplify existing and emerging opportunities; 
  • integrates emerging forms of IC technologies into the communications process to effectively reach and influence key audience in communications outreach; 
  • expands the capacity of the Open Campus Marketing and Communications function to be central to effective campus-wide communications, in cooperation with campus communicators and university leadership;
  • any other duties as assigned by the Principal.
