Professor (Child Health)

Qualifications and Experience:
A specialist qualification in Paediatrics recognized by The University of the West Indies such DM, MRCPCH or Board Certification in Paediatrics from the American Board of Paediatrics or an additional postgraduate degree from an approved and accredited university/institution, would be an asset. A further academic qualification would be an advantage.
Supervision of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students
At least five (5) years postgraduate experience in the speciality. Formal specialist training as well as expertise in a sub- speciality would be an asset. Considerable academic and professional experience including teaching and research at the tertiary level, a record of distinguished original work, excellent publication record in peer-reviewed international journals and membership in reputable professional bodies is desirable. Proven success in grant application will be an asset.
The Department places high priority on individuals who can work well in a team environment. Candidates should also possess good communication and interpersonal skills. A good command of English is essential.
