Financing
Information on fees has been sent to you in your offer letter, along with estimates of living and other expenses.

The Campus offers a number of undergraduate scholarships and bursaries. See http://www.cavehill.uwi.edu/financial/home.aspx for details.

While opportunities exist to work on Campus, please note that these are not normally available for first year undergraduate students.

You will find a few pointers that should be helpful to newly admitted undergraduate students at Special Notes for Undergraduate Students »

Similarly, newly admitted postgraduate students will find useful pointers at Special Notes for Graduate Students »

Payment Options
Credit Card / Debit Card
The Bursary processes credit/debit card payments at the Cashier in the New Administration Building for all tuition and housing charges.   The Bursary accepts all major credit cards except American Express.

A third-party processor (TouchNet) accepts all credit card transactions on behalf of the University via the Student Account Center on the web.

Cash Payment
Students can make cash payments at the Cashier in the New Administration Building.
NB: Notes/cheques in British Virgin Island, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago currency cannot be negotiated.

Wire Transfer
Payment can be made via wire transfer. Requests for the Campus’ banking details to facilitate this should be sent to StudentAccounts@cavehill.uwi.edu

On-line Banking
Payments can also be made (provided that you currently have an account with the bank) using the on-line banking facilities of:
·         RBC Royal Bank of Canada, or
·         Bank of Nova Scotia.

Fees can also be paid into any branch of Republic Bank (Barbados) Limited (using the special UWI banking slips) and at any Sure Pay outlet.

NB: It takes two (2) business days for the Campus to receive payments made through Commercial Banks and Sure Pay, so you must make these payments in time for them to reach the Campus by the deadline dates given.

Please note that the Bursary and the on-line payments portal accept any amount towards payment of fees and will accept pre-payments all year long.
