ASSISTANT CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST OPEN CAMPUS –
ACADEMIC PROGRAMMING AND DELIVERY DIVISION Applications are invited for the position of Assistant Curriculum Specialist in the Academic Programming and Development Division of the Open Campus.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must possess
- a Masters Degree in one of the following disciplines: instructional design, instructional systems, distance education, open and distance learning, educational technology, instructional technology or some other related discipline;
- project management experience,
- at least one (1) year of relevant curriculum design experience preferably in support of a tertiary institution;
- a clear understanding of web based design, online courseware production and, in particular, Internet and enterprise application support for distance education.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS
The successful candidate will, under the guidance of the Curriculum Development Specialist, be required to:
- lead curriculum development teams through the design, development and production of online, classroom based and blended learning courseware;
- update/review existing programmes delivered to Open Campus learners;
- monitor the quality of the courseware and learning materials provided to our learners; and
- support the professional development requirements of Open Campus personnel in their desire for knowledge and skill in instructional design procedures for a wide variety of media, distance delivery methods and classroom instructional techniques.
ACADEMIC LEVEL
Lecturer or Assistant Lecturer depending on qualifications and experience.
WORK LOCATION
This position may be physically located in any of the locations supported by Open Campus. The job incumbent will be required to travel throughout the Caribbean as part of his/her job responsibilities.
