Applications are invited for the post of Computer Information Systems Auditor at the Mona, Jamaica Campus of the University of the West Indies . This senior internal audit position reports directly to the University Management Auditor.

The Computer Information Systems Auditor will be responsible for conducting IT risk assessments, preparing and executing a comprehensive IT audit program and documenting findings and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a relevant university degree in Computer Science or a related field and be a qualified Computer Information Systems Auditor, holding the CISA or equivalent qualification. The CISM qualification would be a desirable asset. The ideal candidate will be a self - starter who is able to perform the responsibilities of the position effectively with minimum supervision. Excellent analytical as well as oral and written communication skills are essential.

Experience and Capabilities

Significant experience as an internal or external information systems auditor at a senior level is required including writing reports to senior management. Experience should include the evaluation of business and audit risks and controls as well as the use computer-assisted audit techniques and software. Hands-on experience managing and operating information technology systems would be an asset.
