Considerations in the Management of CVD and Cancer in the Era of COVID-19

Event Date: Thursday, October 29, 2020

BNR Annual Seminar_29 Oct 2020-9-17-2020.jpgData published by the Barbados National Registry (BNR) has shown that there has been an increase in Heart Attack, Stroke, and Cancer cases over the period 2010 - 2018.

At the beginning of 2020, there were already concerns about the high level of non-communicable diseases in the Barbadian population.  The management of these diseases was then challenged by COVID-19, bringing new risks and new considerations to the fore.

The BNR webinar "Considerations in the Management CVD and Cancer in the Era of COVID-19" being held on October 29th, 2020, will discuss some of the new challenges facing primary care physicians, including: Telemedicine, management of critically ill patients and executing national risk management plans at the primary care level.

Were there more deaths due to NCDs because of COVID 19?  This question and many more will be answered at our upcoming webinar.
