How to Apply

STEP 1: Click Apply for Admission

You will be asked to set up an account. As a first time user do this by clicking on First Time User Account Creation.
 

STEP 2: Set up your Account

You will be prompted to create a Login ID and a PIN (Personal Identification Number). Make a note of your ID and PIN since you will need these to access your application information online after you log out of the system.
 

STEP 3: Complete the Online Application

Follow the instructions and complete the application. Note that you do not have to complete your application in one sitting. You can start the process and complete it any time before the deadline using your Login ID and PIN. Kindly note that a valid email is required. Any invalid email will result in a delay and/or no communication being received.
 

STEP 4: Submit your Application

After completing the application please review the information by clicking the Checklist Button. When you have reviewed the application click the button Application is Complete. A summary will be displayed as well as a list of required documents to be submitted.
 
After submitting the application, you will not be able to make any changes to the information online. DO NOT MAKE ANOTHER APPLICATION. If there is a need to make a change to your application already submitted, please write to The Assistant Registrar - Student Affairs Admissions at admissions@cavehill.uwi.edu with details of the changes to be made. Applications cannot be processed until we receive your certified/notarized documents. 
 

STEP 5: Pay the Application Fee

The application fee may be paid online here during the application process or at the Campus Cashier or by bank draft payable to The University of the West Indies sent to The Assistant Registrar, Student Affairs, Admissions. The non refundable application fee is BBD$30 for citizens of UWI contributing countries and USD$30 for citizens of non-UWI contributing countries. View the list of UWI contributing countries »
 

STEP 6: Submit your Documentation

Applicants are required to submit the following supporting documents (as applicable). Please click here for documents required.

Supporting documents must be certified/notarized by a Justice of the Peace, a Notary Public or a Principal or Deputy Principal of a Secondary/High School and must be submitted ONLINE.

What is a certified/notarized document?
This is a true copy of an original document which is signed and stamped indicating that the original was seen and dated by a professional person. This person should not be related to you.

After submitting your application, you will be sent correspondence by email, with a link for uploading your documents. Attachments will be accepted in .pdf, .jpg or .jpeg files ONLY. No MSWord files will be accepted. Kindly ensure that your documents are legible.
 
  • All documents should be submitted via the documents upload portal via a link which will be emailed to you 2-3 business days after completion and submission of your application. 

Kindly note therefore that a valid email address is required to complete the application process. Applications CANNOT be processed until supporting documents are received.  

The UWI Cave Hill Campus reserves the right to rescind an offer if we deem any document submitted by or on behalf of the applicant as fraudulent or misrepresentative, whether the fraud or misrepresentation was deliberate or inadvertent.
 

STEP 7: Track your Application

You may track the progress of your application at any time online by doing the following:
Go to Admissions Login:
  1. Student Access
  2. Apply for Admission
  3. Log in using the Login ID and PIN you created when you started the application process
  4. Click the Track Application button.
 
Your programme of first choice is your primary application and will be considered first. Please allow approximately one (1) month for your application record and documents to be updated in our system and reflected on the application portal.

Kindly take note of the following:
  • Applications submitted between November 2023 and January 31st, 2024; applicants should receive relevant correspondence from us by March 31st, 2024.
  • Applications submitted between February and March 31st, 2024; applicants should receive relevant correspondence from us by May 31st, 2024.
  • Applications submitted in April; applicants should receive relevant correspondence from us by June 30th, 2024.
  • Applications submitted between May and June 30th, 2024; applicants should receive relevant correspondence from us by August 15th, 2024.
