Exemption with Credit
The following list of automatic exemptions are entered for students in the Faculty of Social Sciences only.

Exemptions are subject to the discretion of the Faculty and qualifications may be deemed to be obsolete by the Faculty Board. Students who wish to apply for exemptions outside of the programmes and equivalent courses listed below may do so by submitting an exemption form to the Faculty Office. If the qualification was obtained from an external university the student would need to supply the relevant course outlines so that the courses may be assessed.

CAPE Exemptions
CAPE Exemption with credit is granted automatically for Grades 1 to 4 for CAPE Units 1 and 2 in the following subject areas:

• Where do I go to enquire about my BCC exemptions?
Student Affairs, Admissions (automatic exemptions) - Social Sciences students only

Faculty Office (exemptions outside of your programme) 

Please refer to your handbook for the list of BCC Associate Degree Programmes exemptions are granted for subject to courses taken in the programme and meeting the GPA requirements.

 

• I cannot register for my courses, my error states I need a pin?
Holds are placed on accounts for academic warnings or other academic reasons. What you will be required to do is contact your Faculty Office (Academic Advisor), who will provide you with some counselling, after which you are given the pin to be used to release your hold on your account. 

• I visited the doctor where do I send my insurance form?

• I am unclear of what courses I am supposed to do?

You are expected to seek academic counselling before proceeding to register, this allows you to be advised on what courses are in the programme and how you should register for the courses.

• Where do I sign up for an exemption?
Faculty Office

Forms are available online or you must visit your faculty office to collect the form. After completion of the form it must be returned to the faculty office.
