About Us: Overview

Campus IT Services (CITS) is the campus’ information technology unit responsible for providing infrastructural, software, and user services to support academic and administrative activities.

The department is divided into functional areas that provide specialised IT support services.

These areas are:
  • Enterprise Systems Support Unit (ESSU)
  • Network Services
  • User Services
    • IT Service Desk
    • Classroom Technology Services

The Enterprise Systems Support Unit (ESSU) is responsible for ensuring that the Campus fully utilises its enterprise applications. This is achieved through improvements, integrations and maintenance.  In addition, ESSU provides software development, web, reporting and data protection services.

Network Services is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Campus’ data centres and network infrastructure; which is aimed at supporting the efficient and reliable delivery of services required to ensure a good end-user experience.

User Services is the primary interface between Campus IT Services and the user community.
