Equipment, Computers, Wireless Access and Headphones
The CLR James Cricket Research Centre has two public computers which provide access to the library’s catalogue as well as access to the internet and other resources. Priority use of the library’s computers will be given to academic research by patrons.
The library has one card operated photocopier. Headphones for general use within the Centre are available at the Reference desk. There is also wireless network capability for persons who wish to use their personal laptops in the reading room.
Assistance will be given to library users on how to search the catalogue and other resources.
The rarity of our collection means that you are not able to borrow items; you can browse the catalogue and use the material in the Reading Room.
Reference Help
Library staff is available to help you with your research.
Contact us in person, by telephone or email. Make an appointment with the Librarian for one-on-one sessions (two business days in advance). Library staff offers assistance in using the library, searching the catalogue, finding information needed for assignments.
The Librarian provides instruction in research practices, including navigation of academic databases.
The Centre has a photocopier and printer which is located behind the Reference Desk and is operated by library staff. Headphones for general use within the Centre are available at the Reference Desk. There is also wireless network capability for persons for persons who wish to use their personal laptops in the reading room.
There is an Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) for use in the library. The library uses the Library of Congress Cataloguing Scheme.
