Thank you for making The UWI, Faculty of Culture, Creative and Performing Arts your choice for your undergraduate degree! This page provides need-to-know information relating to your application.
CREATIVE AND PERFORMING ARTS:
All qualified applicants to the BFA Programmes (Dance, Film, Music, Theatre) will be invited to an interview and/or audition which forms part of the assessment of eligibility to enter the Faculty. You will also be requested to submit your own creative work prior to the interview/audition. The guidelines for submission of creative work and for attending interviews/auditions are presented below. You may also download a copy of the Applicant Brief here.
INTERVIEW/AUDITION
As a part of the application process, you will be invited to an Interview and/or Audition. The primary aim at the interview/audition is to find out about your creative approach and imagination, rather than your existing technical skills—though any existing aptitudes and experience will be taken into account. Applicants to the BFA Creative Arts programme should choose one major area in which to be accessed from Dance, Film, Theatre, or Music.
Please note that an invitation to interview/audition is another step in the application process and is not an acceptance to UWI.
SUBMISSION OF CREATIVE WORK
Prepare to submit your creative work prior to your interview/audition. Please refer to your specific area of concentration below to learn more about this. You are requested not to submit your creative work until you have received the email notification from the Faculty.
