The undergraduate medical programme is divided into Phase 1 (Years 1-3) and Phase 2 (Years 4-5).
During the first three years, a modular, system-based approach is used, with courses designed to encourage integration between the basic medical science subjects and the clinical (patient-centred) disciplines.
During the final two years, students rotate through the main clinical disciplines, with emphasis on general training.
