MSC: 12 to 18 months (FT) or 24 months (PT) /Dip: 8 to 12 months (FT) or 24 months (PT)
The Postgraduate Diploma programme has been designed to:
1. Improve the quality of gender-based analysis in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors;
2. Provide interested persons with enhanced capacities to address issues of gender and development in a globalized world; and
3. Develop a cadre of well-trained gender and development specialists.
In addition to those mentioned above the MSC programme is also designed to:
4. Harness the breadth of the field of Gender Studies, its history of thought and development, its research methods for application to Caribbean realities
6. Strengthen and improve the pool of academic institutions that train or teach women’s/gender and development studies at different levels;
7. Inculcate attitudes essential for life-long learning and professional problem-solving among graduates;
8. Produce new knowledge, research and publication in diverse areas
