Featured Speaker - Dr. Terry Orlick

Dr. Terry Orlick has been a Professor in the School of Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa, Canada for more than 40 years. He is viewed as one of the world's leading authorities on applied sport and performance psychology, the psychology of excellence and quality living. He has worked with, and learned directly from, many of the world's best athletes and high level performers in other challenging disciplines. His applied research has been centered on teaching, coaching and fully understanding the focusing and refocusing skills necessary for achieving high levels of excellence in many different high performance domains. Dr. Orlick has also devoted a significant part of his life to finding and evaluating the best ways to enhance the quality of life and quality of performance for all children, youth and adults throughout the world. He is the author of over 30 highly acclaimed books, has published extensively in a variety of journals, and is the editor in chief of the free on-line publication, Journal of Excellence (go to www.zoneofexcellence.ca).

Dr. Orlick has a Ph.D in the  Psychology of Sport and Performance from the University of Alberta, Canada, a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology and Counselling from the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia, USA and a Bachelor's Degree in  Health and Physical Education, Syracuse University, New York USA.
